Our Key Product: Shield-1

In addition to our focus on drug discovery services, we are active in licensing and developing key products that can be used in drug discovery process. One such novel product licensed-in from the Stanford University is called Shield-1. Shield 1 is a novel cell permeable small molecule that has been shown to work very effectively in a powerful technique to probe biological processes with its ability to conditionally perturb the function of specific proteins. This new technique enables direct manipulation of the in vivo level of a specific protein of interest, making it a powerful tool for analyzing protein function. ²

Shield-1 is a nice white solid stable when stored at -20 ^oC. Considering potential use for both in vitro and in vivo studies, we have made Shield-1 available from 1 mg to 1 g quantities.
